About me

Since my election in July 2024 I’ve had the privilege of being Wimbledon’s MP, a constituency that extends well beyond the town & village to also include Morden Town Centre; Motspur, Merton & Raynes Park; and Old & New Malden.  

As a Liberal Democrat, I believe in empowering individuals & communities. My most important role is to represent your values in Parliament whilst delivering on the five priorities on which I was elected. 

Whether it’s individual casework; local, national or international issues, I’m here to help you - upholding British values including the rule of law, democracy, fairness and freedom of speech, religion and thought. 

I entered active politics after I was attacked in my home. My life was saved by two brave officers from Wimbledon Police station and I became a local councillor in 2018 while fighting the Mayor of London’s plans to close the station. 

Although I won the subsequent court case to keep Wimbledon Police Station open, its long-term future has never been guaranteed. Now, with the threat of closure looming once again, I am campaigning to keep it open once more and keep police in our community. 

As the proud owner of an independent hospitality business, I’m passionate about supporting other small businesses, campaigning for safe and thriving high streets, and improving transport links that support the hospitality industry and night time economy. 

Within Parliament, I work closely with Lib Dem colleagues, as well as MPs of other parties, to drive forward issues that matter to Wimbledon residents. This includes speaking out against Thames Water sewage dumping in our rivers, and pushing for step-free access to our stations.
