Northern Ireland Affairs Committee 

Alongside my role as Northern Ireland Spokesperson, I also sit on the Northern Ireland Affairs Committee. The Committee serves to evaluate of the expenditure, administration and policy of the Northern Ireland Office and its associated public bodies.

We have covered topics ranging from the taxation of hospitality in Northern Ireland, policing and security, and using reconciliation to address the legacy of the Troubles. The Committee also regularly questioning government ministers - including the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland - and other departmental officials during frequent accountability sessions or specific policy inquiries.
